Wandavision episode 9 buzzfeed12/3/2023 One of the biggest revelations in “Previously On” was that Wanda did not, in fact, storm into SWORD headquarters and steal back her boyfriend’s dead body. Subscribe What is Tyler Hayward’s Endgame – and Why Is He Trying to Blame Wanda for it? Has she sought Wanda out simply to determine where her power comes from? To try and steal it for herself? To suss out another powerful witch to become besties with? (Agatha was Wanda’s mentor in the comics.)Īre we meant to read Agatha as a true villain – or something more complicated? I mean, she does put Wanda’s kids in choke collar leashes, but whether that’s out of a desire to protect herself from the Scarlet Witch or to use her in some way is still unclear. The creation of Westview was clearly a result of Wanda’s chaos magic, so… what is Agatha doing there? And what is her ultimate goal? Most of us have assumed that Agatha Harkness must technically be the Big Bad of WandaVision – I mean, the song says that she’s been pulling every evil string, c’mon – but “Previously On” hints that may not entirely be the case. But who or what is she? What Does Agatha Harkness Actually Want? Agatha bestows the name upon her as though it means something significant, as if Wanda’s some sort of magical harbinger that has a larger role to play in…something (and the Scarlet Witch costume Wanda sees in her vision would seem to back that up). But that’s not exactly news – she did destroy an Infinity Stone and almost take down Thanos in the Avengers movies. Sure, she’s powerful enough to literally rewrite reality and turn a run-down New Jersey town into a classic sitcom paradise. But what that actually means is anyone’s guess. In an episode filled almost to bursting with surprisingly rich callbacks to multiple MCU films, the biggest moment was still probably Wanda being directly referred to as the Scarlet Witch for the first time. Here are nine burning questions we need the WandaVision finale to answer. (Which right now, with one episode to go, is a title it wins by a mile.) But there are a few things that WandaVision is going to have to tell us in order for this series to truly stick the landing as the MCU’s most ambitious – and best – project yet. How the series plans to wrap up these dangling plot threads in addition to laying the groundwork for the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and establishing what comes next is anyone’s guess. Plus, there’s the whole thing where a secret government agency appears to have reanimated Vision’s dead body to use as a weapon, and Wanda herself is most likely a legendary, all-powerful witch. Its penultimate installment was not just a heartbreaking retrospective of just how terrible Wanda’s life has been and how much she has suffered, it gave us an entirely new understanding of a character that’s been part of this universe for four feature films to date. With just one episode left in the season – and technically the series – the finale of WandaVision has a lot of ground to cover. This article contains WandaVision spoilers.

Cult of the lamb ps5 update12/3/2023 There's rarely a time when one wrong move can negate your time in the dungeon. Runs can last an average of 10 minutes, and while re-running a dungeon gives you the ability to go deeper, initial runs feel quite manageable. Compared to other roguelikes, this feels rather short. If you count that as a section, then the player will only go through four or five sections before reaching the boss, miniboss, or escape portal. Revisiting conquered rooms doesn't mean enemies will get resurrected. There are alternate paths, but those don't extend beyond a room or two, so it's quite difficult to get lost and there's not too much room for backtracking. From the moment you enter a dungeon to the first exit, you'll encounter a total of eight or nine rooms. Perhaps the most evident change from the standard roguelike is the length of the dungeons. You'll still die, but the penalty isn't so severe you'll only lose a portion of the things from the run, rather than everything. Every item and power you discover is a buff rather than a drawback. Unless you're playing at higher difficulty levels, damage isn't so severe that enemies can kill you with one hit. Combat is effective, since it isn't so complicated button-mashers still need to do a dodge roll often, but you don't have to worry about making a perfect parry. You can get a good idea of which paths to take if you want more combat or need supplies. Dungeons may be randomized, but you get a clear layout of what to expect through each leg of the dungeon. The game also takes care of your loadout each run has a random main and secondary weapon, so there's less planning and more of a focus on combat.įor those usually scared away by the mention of the genre, Cult of the Lamb makes it more comfortable. Tarot cards from a mystic give you a choice between two buffs for that run. Dungeon layouts and enemy placements are randomized, and rooms are never more than a screen in width and height. Move into a proper dungeon, and the game takes on the basic traits of a roguelike. One button handles weapon swings, one button handles dodging, and there's a specific button for secondary attacks, most of which are projectile attacks that refill once you kill more enemies. After you are resurrected, you're introduced to the combat system. The game takes inspiration from two distinctly different genres. In return for your imminent resurrection, The One Who Waits asks that you create a cult that frees the imprisoned god and avenges your sacrifice. The moment you die, you are rescued by the god who your sacrifice would keep imprisoned, The One Who Waits. By offering you as a sacrifice, the four Bishops of the Old Faith would fulfill a prophecy to maintain their religious role over the land and prevent another god from escaping their underworld prison. You play the role of a lamb, the last of its kind. Cult of the Lamb finds itself in good company in this regard, as it is a cute game with solid gameplay mechanics in what is essentially a genre mash-up. The animals are the hook, but the gameplay makes them excellent games. A big 3D exploratory adventure? Stray has a regular cat instead of an anthropomorphic one. A beat-'em-up? Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge with mutated amphibians (though that's a bit of a cheat since their popularity came from the old '80s cartoon and comics). Want a Zelda-like adventure? You have it in Tunic with a fox and Death's Door with a crow. True Believer Switch: 350 / $224.Animals can bring attention to a video game. The only major differences are in the artwork/naming of some spaces, and the tokens. The rules are exactly the same as in the original in terms of how the game actually works. Players: 2 to 6 3. Pokemon Monopoly: Kanto Editionġ5 years after it was first launched, the original Pokemon Monopoly game got an update with the Pokemon Kanto Edition game. Pieces: Chikorita, Totodile, Marill, Cyndaquil, Bellossom, Pikachu Expect it to cost upwards of $100 if you want to buy a complete set online. This is another rare game now, having been replaced with the later Johto edition. They kept the painted colorful style but updated them to include five Pokemon from this new generation, along with Pikachu. Otherwise, the game is extremely similar, with the only other difference being the tokens. And Professor Oak cards were replaced with Professor Elm. Instead of Pokeballs, the railroads took the form of the three Johto starters – Totodile, Cyndaquil, and Chikorita – as well as Heracross, chosen because it was one of the prominent Gen 2 Pokemon in the anime. The board was updated to reflect the new gym badges and Pokemon, with the legendary Pokemon Entei becoming the most valuable property in the game, the equivalent of Boardwalk. In 2001, Hasbro released an updated version of the Collector’s Edition to tie in with the second generation of Pokemon games. Plastic Tokens Edition: Bulbasaur, Charmander, Blastoise, Pikachu, Clefairy, Mewtwo.Pewter Tokens Edition: Charmander, Pikachu, Meowth, Psyduck, Poliwhirl, Snorlax. There are actually two versions of this game – one with classic pewter tokens and one with painted pieces that were much brighter and more appealing to younger players.īoth versions are really hard to find and expensive to buy, so if you have one then it’s worth holding onto as it’s considered something of a collector’s item. You both roll both dice, and whoever scores highest keeps the property. Double 6 lets you challenge another player for a property they own (providing it’s not part of a completed set).Double 5 lets you draw a Trainer Battle card.Double 4 lets you draw a Professor Oak card.Double 3 lets you collect $50 from each opponent.Double 2 lets you collect $200 from the bank.Double 1 lets you teleport anywhere on the board, except into Jail, and if you pass Go you collect $200.Now you have the option of either rolling again, or using a Pokemon power: It’s optional, and it happens when you roll doubles. There is one main rule difference for this Pokemon Monopoly edition. Chance and Community Chest are also replaced by Professor Oak and Trainer Battle cards. In the same vein, houses are replaced by Pokemon Centers and hotels by Poke Marts. Taxes are replaced with rival/Team Rocket attacks, and railroads with PokeBalls. So the brown spaces are the Rock gym with Geodude and Onix, Light Blue is Water, and so on. The Pokemon are themed by gym too, which each color representing a gym from the game, in the same order you would reach them. The aim of the game is still to collect the most wealth, which you do by acquiring properties, which are replaced in this game by Pokemon. Pokemon Monopoly 1999 is broadly played by the same rules as regular Monopoly. The graphics used for the game were based on the anime, which helped to propel the world of Pokemon to even further heights with its super-catchy theme song and Pokerap. r/Pokemon Discord discord. The first Pokemon video games, Pokemon Red and Pokemon Blue, launched in the US in late 1998, and it didn’t take long for Hasbro to capitalize with the release of Pokemon Monopoly a year later. Canon camera recorder12/3/2023 Since it supports a wireless connection, you can use it to send your photos to your friends and family members. This way, you can easily take photos and share them with other people. The camera supports Wi-Fi and NFC connections and lets you convert RAW files using in-built tools. You can take photos in RAW and JPEG formats as well as shoot Full HD videos. This model also supports quick continuous shooting at 8fps. The Canon camera for videos is fitted with the DIGIC 7 Image Processor, which accounts for great AF tracking and stunning image clarity even when you take photos and shoot videos at high ISO. You can use it with the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM lens that has almost silent AF for videos, which ensures effective work, even in conditions when you have to be as quiet as possible. Due to its powerful optics, you can shoot videos even in poor light conditions. With this model, you can take high-resolution footage thanks to its 1.0-inch 20.1 MP CMOS sensor and a pro-level f/1.8–2.8 lens. It’s a perfect option for avid travelers or those who need to find a portable secondary camera. This cheap camera supports high shooting speed and has a compact design, which allows you to take it with you wherever you go. It is small, easily adjustable and durable, which makes it especially suitable for traveling specialists. With this model, you can use the Rokinon Cine DS DS35M-C 35mm lens, since it was created especially for skillful videographers who know professional nuances and tricks. This Canon camera for video supports an unprecedented autofocus speed during streaming even in darkened rooms. You can use it in low-light situations, which allows you to implement a variety of night photography ideas. However, despite several minor disadvantages, it’s a great vlogging camera. The external HDMI recorder will only work for Full HD videos. The most disappointing thing is that you can only save 4K internally. In fact, you can enjoy this function only if you get a paid update. The second important issue is connected with Canon Log Gamma mode, which is claimed to be supported by the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV. The first one relates to the sensor, as it doesn’t work in the full width. You can use it to record video in 4K, though there are some limitations. If your key demands for the best Canon cameras for video are versatility and durability, have a look at this first-rate device. Offline rss reader12/3/2023 This is probably the RSS reader that has the least amount of functionality, yet strangely is going to be used by the most people.įound under the “web feeds” tab in the Bookmarks section of the web browser, you can build up a device-specific list of RSS feeds – there’s no option to import your feeds from another service (commonly an 'OPML' file - Outline Processor Markup Language, which is a text list of RSS feeds). Nokia Web Browserīut let’s start with the hybrid option, the RSS built into Nokia’s S60 web browser. There are a number of Symbian RSS readers out there for your device, and I’m going to take a long look at some of the options now – to all the pet projects and favourites that are missed off the list, feel free to add them in the comments. Personally I prefer the online readers, firstly because the majority of my working time I am in wi-fi coverage, so staying online is not a cost issue, and secondly because it also allows me to read articles via the PC and know I’m not reading them twice.īut there are lots of options and none of them are fundamentally wrong. Offline readers generally hold the list of RSS feeds of sites on the smartphone, then go online to get the latest articles and download them, usually a setting for the user, from either the latest article, the last five or ten articles, etc. Often there is an option to download just the headlines of an article, and you can mark the article to be retrieved at the next connection.īoth methods are equally valid, and the chances are in the best circumstances both will give the same amount of data usage and time taken to read articles. Of course, this means you have to make a data connection and in most cases stay in coverage and maintain it while you read. The online RSS readers are generally web-based, with a ‘mobile’ version of the main site to log into, that allows you to switch effortlessly between using your smartphone and looking at the same list of sites on your desktop PC. Your first choice is to go either online or offline. RSS packages up the text and headlines of most news sites, blogs or other frequently updated sites, into a standard format – and that standard format means that a computer program can process and present them in such a way as to make it fast and easy to go through – when layout remains static, but content changes, it’s very easy on the eye.Īnd of course the smartphone can get in on the action as well – why buy a newspaper when your mobile screen can call up the latest news and information from sites and people which are important to you? So I’m going to take a look at a number of solutions to let you read RSS on your smartphone and see how they compare. Thankfully, the invention of RSS (Really Simple Syndication) has provided me with a much easier way of getting to these articles – I dread to think how keeping up could be done with old fashioned web browser bookmarks. I’m reading more and more sites, with more and more articles to read, every day. One day, one of my students may want to filter through recent publications looking for articles on asthma, and the next day they may want to see what the newest literature is on treatments for cystic fibrosis.Īny thoughts are, as always, greatly appreciated. The internet has clearly changed my reading habits. I know Feedbin and a few other RSS services allow searches/filtering on the server side, but I’m looking for something more flexible. My question is this: Are there any RSS Readers currently available (particularly for iOS/iPadOS) that allow searching locally? All of my trainees have an iPhone and/or iPad, and I’m wondering if there’s a way to replicate some of this search/filtering directly in an application at a lower price/complexity entry point than DEVONThink. It’s a fantastic way to pull in research from several sources and filter out the articles that are most interesting/relevant to me. It’s been awhile since this topic has been addressed, so I thought I would bring it up, with a somewhat unique twist:įor awhile now, I’ve been using DEVONThink as a central repository for newly published articles in academically relevant topics, as described at. By that time, Warner had retreated from the theatre after suffering stage fright in 1972 during productions of I, Claudius and David Hare’s The Great Exhibition he would not return for another 30 years. He worked with Peckinpah once more, on the second world war drama Cross of Iron (1977). “He knew I wanted to get back in front of a camera,” said Warner, who limped noticeably on screen. Peckinpah brought him out of hospital to play a man with educational difficulties in the violent thriller Straw Dogs (1971).
